Remote control app for air-conditioners
AC Remote is a free utility application for mobile devices developed by Mujeeb Ud-din. It's a remote control app that lets users control their home or office air-conditioning units using their smartphones or tablets. It boasts a simple and intuitive UI, as well as support for multiple brands and manufacturers.
Easy AC control
AC Remote is divided into four main sections, the first being My Remotes, wherein all your saved profiles are stored. If you're a new user, you can start with Select Brand to find your specific maker and model. Once paired, you can adjust temperatures and select fan profiles for your AC unit immediately.
Navigate to the Error Codes section to find out about different error codes that your AC might display, and possible steps to address them. There’s also a child mode. Do note that it has limited device support and even for those that it does, don't work at all.
Should be better
While the AC Remote app is simple and easy to pair up and use, the actual performance leaves a lot to be desired, and just plain doesn't function sometimes. Not to mention, the limited number of devices it supports, and this is one that you can pass up on for now.
